Electronic record books require flag-State approval per vessel. Until yours is approved, Keelson works as the working log and transfers to the approved paper book via a certified true-copy print — we say that plainly rather than oversell it.

Nothing bad. Keelson is self-hosted — it doesn't phone home and can't be switched off remotely. Your install, your database and your documents remain fully functional forever. Source-code escrow is available for fleet clients.
Only when a crew member asks the assistant a question — and only the minimum needed to answer, sent directly to the AI provider using your own key. No key configured means nothing ever leaves the boat. Crew personal data is redacted from answers unless the user is the purser or captain.
It follows the MEPC.312(74) structure with three-step signing, strike-through corrections and an audit trail — but electronic record books need your flag State's approval per vessel. Until then, use it as the working log and transfer to the approved paper book via the certified true-copy print.

Adrian Vincent Amora

Adrian first went to sea in 2006 — on deck, as a deckhand and chase-boat driver — and spent nearly a decade learning boats from the teak down before crossing to the engine room through dual deck-engineer roles on 30- and 71-metre yachts. Since 2014 he has kept the same 50-metre private motor yacht running as her ETO and engineer — today appointed her Chief Engineer by captain and management. Two decades at sea, over ten seasons in one engine room, every system aboard his responsibility.
He also happens to hold a degree in computer science. For ten of those years he logged maintenance in a PMS built far from the sea, by people who had never stood a watch — and quietly kept a list of everything it got wrong. Keelson is that list, answered: written in the crew mess and the control room of a working yacht, and tested every day on the very machinery it describes.
A Filipino engineer based in Italy — one of the seafaring people who quietly keep the world's fleets running — Adrian founded Vincetech Labs with a simple conviction: the software that runs a yacht should be built by someone the yacht has actually depended on.
